Why We Act

Youth is vulnerable subject of climate crisis, yet youth voices remain sidelined in decision-making processes. 62.4 percent of Gen Z believe their participation in climate actions remain trapped in tokenistic consultations. Climate Rangers Jakarta exists to rewrite this narrative. We believe that intergenerational climate justice is not a slogan but a mandate: policies must protect the rights of those who will inherit the planet, and youth must be architects of the solutions.

Theory Of Change

Because Indonesia’s youth and future generations face a climate crisis caused by insufficient government action and exclusion from decision-making, we work to help marginalized youth and future generations build a united movement, advocate for just climate policies, and create meaningful and representative participation through organizing youth power in order to realize intergenerational climate justice.
